Upon its release in Japan in 1999 and North America in 2000, Chrono Cross received critical acclaim, earning a perfect 10.0 score from GameSpot. Struggling to uncover his past and find the mysterious Frozen Flame, Serge is chiefly challenged by Lynx, a shadowy antagonist working to apprehend him. The flashy thief Kid and many other characters assist him in his travels around the tropical archipelago El Nido. ![]() Faced with an alternate reality in which he died as a child, Serge endeavors to discover the truth of the two worlds' divergence. The story of Chrono Cross focuses on a teenage boy named Serge and a theme of parallel worlds. Nobuteru Yūki designed the characters of the game. Chrono Cross was designed primarily by scenarist and director Masato Kato, who had help from other designers who also worked on Chrono Trigger, including art director Yasuyuki Honne and composer Yasunori Mitsuda. It is set in the same world as Chrono Trigger, which was released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. If you like fighting games, the D-pad can be swapped out doe the disc which makes all those combo moves a lot easier so I hear.Chrono Cross ( クロノ・クロス, Kurono Kurosu) is a 1999 role-playing video game developed and published by Square for the PlayStation video game console. Its fully customisable and can have 2 very different layouts too. The velvet plastic casing and rubberised grips feel far more comfortable for longer session and fit together perfectly - both my DS4's have slight gaps, edges etc because they don't fit together as snuggly and don't mention the abysmal battery life - My XB1 rechargeable pack lasts a lot longer!! I find the touchpad awkward in the few PS4 games that use it, the shoulder and trigger buttons (the trigger stops on the Elite are great for FPS games too), although greatly improved over the DS3, still can't match the Elite and the thumbsticks - especially the fact that the Elites can be swapped around giving more height for more precision feel far better. I don't have a PC for gaming but I do have the XB1 Elite controller and it is leagues ahead of the DS4 in terms of build quality and usability in my opinion. But with Elite controllers going for $100- $110 these days, I'd definitely recommend getting one of those to all PC gamers. ![]() And like is saying, setting it up is more complicated than it should be, so I honestly can't think of a PC gamer going for the $60 DS4 when they can get a plug and play 360 controller for half the money. I've bought 2 of those puppies on the cheap when they first launched after a mistake from an online retailer and everyone in my family has the same problem now where we're so spoiled by the paddles we don't wanna use anything else.Īlthough nice in theory, I can't imagine that the trackpad is an actual advantage while playing. I'm using an Elite and I'm never going back! The shoulder buttons are placed less awkward and are less 'clicky' on the newer models, but who need those anyway when you've got paddles? At this point I'm even buying games on PC or One that I would much rather play on my PS4 just because of this controller.
